HISTORY
Originally founded in the city of Detroit as Mint Tool Corp. in 1983, MINT FORGE, Inc. continues a tradition of offering precision Cold Forged and Extruded solutions to difficult-to-form steel components. MINT FORGE, INC. is centrally located in Michigan’s “Automation Alley”, in Lake Orion, MI (northwest of Detroit). Our modern facility totals 25,000 square feet.
EXPERTISE
At MINT, we work with a wide array of carbon and alloy steels. MINT’s expertise is reflected in the close tolerance, thin walled components we supply. Our specialty is Cold Forging net-shaped Blind Splines, many hollow-cup-like parts, as well as other internal & external non-cylindrical shapes.

PROCESS
DESIGN. The metal forming processes starts with Tooling and Automation design. All Tooling & Automation is designed in-house using SOLIDWORKS.
SAWING. Automated Cold Saws are capable of cutting up to 3 inch’s in diameter. Our saw department has the capacity to produce over 15,000 blanks in a single shift.
FORGING. Cold Forming/Forging is accomplished in our Header & Press department. MINT has automated Presses ranging from 110 to 800 tons and Cold Headers that can form parts with up to 1″ diameter wire/coil.

MINT is a ISO 9001:2015 certified company. We take Quality very seriously and work to a goal of ZERO DEFECTS.
